The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will suspend planned lane closures on construction-related projects starting at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 until 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019. At any given time, there may be emergency lane and/or shoulder closures.

Stars & Stripes Fireworks-Millsboro
Motorists should anticipate traffic delays on US 113 and Route 24 in Millsboro to celebrate the 4th of July on June 29, 2019. The event will take place starting at 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on June 29, 2019 at the Cupola Park (end of North Morris Street).

City of Rehoboth Fireworks
The City of Rehoboth Fireworks will take place approximately at 9:15 p.m. on July 3rd. Depending on the weather, the fireworks may launch any time after 8:00 p.m.
It’s recommended to use the DART Park & Ride transportation to travel into downtown Rehoboth. Visithttps://www.dartfirststate.com/
Rehoboth Avenue eastbound and Church Street from Route 1 will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 8:30 p.m. All vehicles will have to enter Rehoboth Beach via State Road or Bayard Avenue.
All traffic north of Rehoboth Avenue should exit Rehoboth Beach via Columbia Avenue and Rehoboth Avenue.
All traffic south of Rehoboth Avenue should Exit Rehoboth Beach via Bayard Avenue southbound (Route 1 Southbound traffic only) or via Hickman Street and Munson Street westbound to State Road onto Route 1 northbound and southbound.

4th of July Celebration-Wilmington
The Fourth of July celebration begins at 2:00 p.m. along the Christiana Riverfront. Firework displays will occur around 9:30 p.m. For additional information, please visit https://www.Wilmingtonde.gov/
University of Delaware Athletic Complex – Newark
Free parking will be available at the University of Delaware Athletic Complex lots. Motorists can expect delays on Route 896 and Route 4 within the City of Newark beginning around 6:00 p.m. and after the fireworks. Please visit https://www.newarkde.gov/
Fireworks will take place over Legislative Hall around dusk. Motorists can expect delays in downtown Dover.

Go Fourth-Lewes Fireworks
Bridges to Lewes Beach will be closed to inbound/eastbound motor vehicle traffic on the night of July 4th for safety and traffic control. The bridges will remain open for pedestrians and bicycles. The Savannah Road Bridge will be close to vehicular traffic at 7:00 p.m. The Freeman Highway bridge will be close to vehicular traffic at 8:00 p.m.
All traffic will go directly out/westbound on Savannah Road after the fireworks. There will be no turns onto Gills Neck Road, Pilottown Road, and King’s Highway to keep traffic moving.
Cape Henlopen Drive traffic will leave via the Freeman Highway.
