The Experience of Summer Movies

If you have read my articles in the past you will know how much of a movie buff I am, I love the whole experience.

From walking through the doors and getting my drinks and snacks, And that anticipation of walking in the theatre and finding a great seat.

Summer is my favorite time because it’s summer blockbuster season.

Highlights this summer has to be the new Spiderman movie which hit the screens last week, Which is amazing by the way. But I am a Marvel nerd so I am already in before it starts.

Disney is going all out this year and next up is the one that has most people excited, The Lion King. Rebooted and now a 2 hour live action movie.

The story if you don’t know is about Simba who idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa.

But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival.

Scar, Mufasa’s brother and former heir to the throne has plans of his own.

The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his, This movie next to Toy Story 4 will be Disney’s biggest earners at the box office this year until the new Star Wars movie hit the screens.

Next up on August 2nd is Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

If you are a fan of this franchise you will love this, For me personally I kinda lost interest about 3 movies ago but they keep on coming.

If you have watched all the other movies you will know that Hobbs and Shaw have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down.

But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever Hobbs & Shaw must partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.

If you love lots of action, Fight scenes, things exploding then this movie could be just for you, And if this is a big box office smash we all know this won’t be the only outing for this duo.

Other ones to watch out for if you need to cure the kids boredom.

If Disney can do it so can Nickelodeon, August 9th watch out for the Live action Dora the Explorer movie.

Those Angry Birds are back on August 14th

Whatever you go and see this summer, I hope you have as much fun as I do at the movies.
