On 07.26.2019 at approximately 4:54 pm, members of the Carlisle Fire Company and officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a motor vehicle collision on South Rehoboth Boulevard in the area of South Horseshoe Drive. Investigation revealed a vehicle being operated by Scott C. Biggs, 43 of Wilmington, rear ended another vehicle that was stopped waiting to turn onto South Horseshoe Drive. Further investigation on the scene led officers to believe Mr. Biggs was impaired. After conducting standard field sobriety test and Mr. Biggs completing a portable breath test, he was taking into custody. Mr. Biggs has been charged with 3rd Offense Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, Failure to Have Insurance Identification in Possession, and Inattentive Driving. Mr. Biggs was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3, where bail was set at $3125.00 unsecured. Mr. Biggs is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on 08.01.2019 for a Preliminary Hearing.
