Incident Leads to Multiple Charges

On 08.24.2019 officers from the Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a residence in the 200 block of South Washington Street to a report of an incident involving a knife. The investigation revealed during a verbal altercation in the residence Timothy D. Jarvis Jr, 23 of Milford, reportedly threatened the victim with a knife. Prior to officers arrival Mr. Jarvis fled from the residence. Mr. Jarvis was later apprehended on a traffic stop on South Washington Street and taken into custody without incident. 13.5 grams of K-2, a synthetic drug, was found in Mr. Jarvis’s possession as he was being taken into custody. Mr. Jarvis has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Counterfeit Substance, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Menacing, Possession of a Deadly Weapon by Person Prohibited, and Driving While Suspended. Mr. Jarvis was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #3 in Georgetown, where bail was set at $69,010.00 secured on the initial incident charges and $200.00 unsecured on the K-2 charge. Mr. Jarvis was committed to the custody of the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on 08.29.2019 at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
