On 09/16/2019 at approximately 7:58 a.m., the Milford Police Department Patrol Division was dispatched to Duck In Car Wash located at 215 Aerenson Dr. Milford, Kent County, DE for a burglary that occurred overnight. Through surveillance footage obtained from the business it was learned that the suspect had allegedly entered into the business on approximately 3 separate occasions between 09/15/2019 at 7 p.m. and 09/16/2019 at 7 a.m. Investigation revealed that that the suspect had allegedly taken an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency during each time he entered into the business. It was learned that the suspect had allegedly done damage to property inside the business as well. Management and employees of the business were able to identify the suspect as William E. Hutson 2nd, 39 of Milford, DE, through the surveillance footage. Information was learned that Hutson was allegedly staying in a wooded area in the 900 block of N DuPont Blvd. Milford, DE. Patrol Officers responded to the area where they located Hutson in the wooded area and took him into custody without incident. Some of the missing property was recovered and returned to the business.

Hutson was transported back to Milford PD, where he was charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, one count of Possession Of Burglar Tools, one count of Theft $1500 Or Greater, one count of Theft Under $1500, and one count of Criminal Mischief Under $1000. Hutson had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 2, where he was released on $8500.00 USC unsecured bail with a no contact order with Duck In Car Wash. Hutson was ordered to appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 09/27/2019 at 8:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
