The Milford boys soccer squad garnered two first-team All-Henlopen Conference awards. Quite an accomplishment for this youthful squad. Take note that both first-team recipients, Luke Bogan and Sam Dominguez, are juniors and will be returning next year.
Bogan was a defensive force as a center back in the three-man backline. Both skilled with his feet and in the air, Bogan was the glue that held the backline together. Bogan, also named second-team All-State, is a leader both on and off the field, and should be expected to put in a solid senior campaign.
Dominguez was a scorer and passer upfront, where he had keen instincts with the ball and knew how to break down a defense. His ability to finish was outstanding and he projects to improve next season and will provide leadership to a Milford squad that will be on the rise in 2020.
Second Team All-Conference, Aaron Sollie
Playing primarily upfront, Sollie demonstrated a high quality of ball control and understanding of the game. He was also a factor in midfield, where he showed outstanding offensive and defensive skills.
Honorable Mention All-Conference, Manny Carranza
Carranza is another junior who will be returning next season in what is shaping up to be a promising year for the Buccaneers.
Coach Todd French summed it up rather quickly as he stated “The players that earned All Conference were all very deserving. In fact, we thought that our team’s success warranted more All Conference recognition. Luke Bogan had another stand out season and he once again proved why he is one of the best players in the state. Our Junior class is very talented and has a lot to prove next season”.
