In 2020 Milford LIVE will be celebrating 10 years! Our Community Journalist Terry Rogers has a passion for “making history fun for people.” Do you know Terry ?

Terry Rogers began her career as a writer almost by accident. After 20 years in public education, Terry was looking for something different. She discovered an online writing service that allowed her to create, write and publish articles she found interesting. Terry discovered that the majority of her hometown, Milford, Delaware, was listed on the National Historic Registry. As an avid history lover, she began researching and writing about various historic homes in town. This evolved into a writing and research business that provided search engine optimized blogs, press releases, website copy and more.

Terry has been writing for Milford Live almost since she began her writing career, initially providing them with the historic home articles that got her started in her writing. She now covers many different events in Milford, with a focus on city politics and government. Terry has been married to her husband, Greg, for 26 years. She has a stepdaughter, Kiley Purcell, who lives with her family in Houston. Terry’s daughter, Nicole, is a student at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. Her stepson, Keith, was killed by a drunk driver in December 2000, inspiring Terry to create a non-profit, designated driver service that she is currently working to implement in the area.

Terry has an Associate’s Degree from Delaware Technical and Community College in Human Services and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She was born and raised in Milford and currently lives in Lincoln.
