Bayhealth is currently hosting their 13th Annual Festival of Trees at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus and Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus. This year’s festival features over 100 trees decorated by departments throughout Bayhealth with lights, tinsel, ribbons, ornaments, and bells. The program encourages a competition between departments as individuals from the public are able to vote for their favorite trees.

Tickets are sold at the hospital as patrons place their ticket under their favorite tree. Each tree will be raffled the week before Christmas. Proceeds from the Festival of Trees supports Bayhealth’s Employee Assistance Fund, a program that assists Bayhealth employees in times of distress or economic hardship.

“There’s no better feeling than having someone tell you how much the display lifted their spirits,” said Jane Hewitt, Lead Patient Advocate at Bayhealth. “I hear so many people tell me what a calming effect the trees have on them – and that includes staff, visitors and patients. I love being part of this event and providing that sense of calm.”

The winners for raffle will be drawn on December 20, 2019. For more information on the Festival of Trees individuals can call 302-744-7085.
