Three Charged Following Drug Investigation

On 01.04.2020 at approximately 10:21 am officers from the Milford Police Department arrested three men following a brief investigation into possible illegal drug activity. On 01.04.2020 Milford Police were contacted about possible drug activity in the area of North Street. An officer assigned to the Patrol Division contacted the vehicle in question and upon approach noticed an odor of marijuana. Further investigation led to three men being taken into custody, as well as heroin, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana being seized. James D. Brown, 32 of Felton was charged with Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Brown was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7, where he was released on his own recognizance and scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas for a preliminary hearing on 01.17.2020. The second person charged as part of this investigation was James A. Brown, 50 of Seaford. Mr. Brown was found to have arrived in another vehicle and left a 5 year old child unattended in that vehicle as he exited and went to sit in the vehicle the officers initially contacted. James A. Brown has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana. James A. Brown was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on his own recognizance. James A. Brown is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 02.19.2020 for an arraignment. The third person charged in this investigation was Jarrod T. Faison, 34 of Milford. Mr. Faison was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Faison was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on his own recognizance. Mr. Faison is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on 02.19.2020 for an arraignment.
