The Delaware Lottery announced that a $230.8 million Powerball jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Middletown for the April 6 drawing.
According to officials, the winning ticket was purchased at Acme. The winning numbers were 07, 24, 37, 42 and 57, with Powerball 05.
Lottery officials said the win ranks among the larger Powerball jackpots in recent years and marks a significant moment for players in Delaware. Powerball jackpots increase over time when no top prize is claimed, often reaching hundreds of millions of dollars.
“We’re incredibly excited to see a jackpot-winning Powerball® ticket sold right here in Delaware,” said Helene Keeley. “Wins of this magnitude are life-changing and create a lot of excitement for our players and retailers alike. We look forward to congratulating the winner and remind all players to enjoy lottery games responsibly.”
The Delaware Lottery is urging the ticket holder to sign the back of the ticket, store it securely and contact the agency to begin the claims process. Additional details are expected to be released once the prize is officially claimed.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week — Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. — with tickets sold at retailers statewide until 9:45 p.m. on draw nights. Prizes range from smaller amounts to multi-million-dollar jackpots.
