On July 12, 2024, between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., Milford Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to three separate incidents throughout the city where subjects were reporting that they had been shot with a hard object (pellet) from a passing silver sedan. All of the victims reported only minor injuries and did not require any medical attention.
Due to the quick investigative actions of the Patrol Division, the suspect vehicle was located, and a 16-year-old juvenile male was taken into custody. The juvenile was in possession of a water bead gun. Further investigation revealed that two other 17-year-old juvenile males were involved as well.
Warrants were obtained for all three juveniles. Two juveniles (16-year-old and 17-year-old) were charged with Conspiracy 3rd Degree, Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree (3 counts), Offensive Touching (2 counts) and Disorderly Conduct. The other 17-year-old juvenile was charged with Conspiracy 3rd Degree, Reckless Endangering 2nd Degree, Offensive Touching and Disorderly Conduct. All three juveniles were processed on their active warrants and were released to their parent/guardian with a future court date in the Kent County Family Court.
