Kevin DiCostanzo, Entertainment and Concessions Manager, and owner Eric Williams have planned 422 Day on Saturday, April 22

With April 22 falling on a Saturday, Mispillion River Brewing knew they had to do something to celebrate the town whose phone prefix has historically been “422.” As a result, they will hold the First Annual 422 Day, celebrating all things Milford. Vendors will be available from local organizations and businesses that make Milford special.

“There used to be a celebration called “302 Day,” but it moved to Milton,” Kevin DiCostanzo, Entertainment and Concessions Manager, said.  “When we saw that Saturday’s date was 4/22, we thought this would be a wonderful way to showcase all the spectacular things we have in our city.”

The outside area of the brewery will be lined with tables bearing details not only on businesses in town, but also non-profit organizations. Some of the businesses who have signed up for the event include June Bugs Boutique, John Mollura Photography, Red Bandana, Monarch Solstice, 302 Designs and more.

“We have also reached out to non-profits who we know need exposure,” DiCostanzo said. “Milford Museum, the Boys and Girls Club, Mispillion Art League and Leap of Faith are just a few who have agreed to be here for the event.”

The first annual 422 Day will be celebrated from 11 AM until 4 PM. Later that evening, The First Annual Mispillion River Brewing Prom is planned. The theme for the night is “A Night at the Luau.” All are welcome but anyone wearing formal or semi-formal attire will receive $1 off each draft.

“We will be crowning a King and Queen as well,” DiCostanzo said. “DJ Adeerondeck will be providing the music and we will have Coco Mango food truck here as well.
