Milford’s Little Dairy Queen will mark its 75th anniversary with a three-day fan appreciation celebration scheduled for April 24 through 26 at its North Walnut Street location.

The longtime business, located at 1000 N. Walnut St., has served the Milford community for decades and remains a familiar stop for generations of residents.

“Celebrating 75 years in Milford is incredibly special to us,” said John Schatzschneider. “This location has been part of so many families’ traditions, including our own, and we’re proud to carry that legacy forward while continuing to serve the community we call home.”

The event will include discounted menu items each day, with a rotating selection of treats offered at a reduced price throughout the weekend.

The location has been owned since 2020 by John, Rhonda and Christopher Schatzschneider, who said their connection to the business dates back to childhood visits.

“We used to stop here all the time growing up—it was always part of our routine,” said Chris Schatzschneider. “Now, you hear stories every day from people who came here as kids and are bringing their own children or even grandchildren. When the opportunity came to purchase it from a local owner who wanted to pass it on to someone in the community, it just felt right. That kind of generational connection is what makes this place so special.”

In addition to operating the business, the family said they remain involved in community efforts, including supporting local organizations and youth programs.

The anniversary event is open to the public.
