Event organizers said the turnout and atmosphere reflected the strength of the community, with families, vendors and local supporters bringing steady energy throughout the day.
“Today’s Bug & Bud Festival was a beautiful reminder of the power of community,” Sade Truiett, coordinator of Downtown Milford Inc., and one of the event organizers, stated in a post following the event. “Over 3,000 of you showed up, and even with the chilly weather, the love and energy filled Downtown Milford all day long.”

Visitors moved throughout downtown Milford, exploring vendor booths, enjoying food offerings and gathering around the stage for performances that continued into the afternoon.
Organizers said they will take the weekend to recover following the large turnout, with official photos and video from the event expected to be released next week.
The Bug & Bud Festival has become one of Milford’s signature spring events, drawing thousands each year and signaling the start of the community’s busy outdoor season.
