Movies on the Beach and weekly bonfires in Dewey Beach are returning for the 2026 summer season, according to the Rehoboth Beach–Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce.

The summer programming, held at Dagsworthy Avenue beach, is presented by Rehoboth Beach – Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Weis Markets. Chamber officials said more than 3,200 people attended the events in 2025.

Outdoor movie nights are scheduled to begin around 8:30 p.m. on the beach, with a donation-based format and no admission fee. The 2026 lineup includes a mix of family and recent titles, including The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants (June 15), Zootopia 2 (June 29), Lilo & Stitch (2025) (July 6), The Goonies (August 3), and Mean Girls (2024) (August 17). All titles are subject to change.

Weekly bonfires will also return on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m., beginning June 17 and running through August 26. Organizers said glow sticks and marshmallows will be available for a $1 donation while supplies last, and roasting sticks will be provided for use.

Events are held on the beach at Dewey Beach and are weather-dependent. In the event of inclement weather, cancellations will be announced by 7 p.m. for movies and 6 p.m. for bonfires, with updates posted on the Chamber’s social media channels.

Free parking in Dewey Beach will be offered on Mondays from 5 to 11 p.m., according to the town.

Additional sponsors for the series include a range of local and regional businesses and organizations, including hospitality, retail, and financial institutions.

More information is available through the Chamber’s website at Beach-Fun or by calling (302) 227-2233.
