Annual Christmas Tree Extravaganza to benefit Demetrakis family

As we look forward to the Holiday Season, The Milford Public Library sponsors its Annual Christmas Tree Extravaganza, which is an effort that has been adopted as a holiday fundraiser to assist families. This year’s recipient is Kasey Demetrakis.

Kasey is married to Michael Demetrakis and they have three young children (Dominick 8, Parker 6, & Ben 3 years old). Kasey was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer which has now spread to her lungs. Currently, because she is receiving her treatments in Maryland, she is unable to work, leaving a financial strain on Mike and their family. Mike has been employed by the Milford Police Department since July 2021. He remains in Delaware with the children in order for them to attend school and keep their routine as normal as possible.

Local organizations and businesses in Milford and the surrounding communities are invited to decorate a Christmas tree and display it in our library. Our community of well-wishers will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite tree by making a monetary donation for this year’s recipient.

We rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses and organizations for support. To reserve your space for a tree, please call the library at 422-8996 and leave the name of your business or organization along with your contact information. We ask, also if you are unable to decorate a tree, that you would make a financial contribution to support our Christmas Tree Extravaganza Project. Remember, every donation makes a difference regardless of the amount.

If you have any questions or concerns, please ask to speak with Carolyn Tabor. We appreciate your sharing our holiday spirit and look forward to hearing from you.
