Beebe Healthcare is proud to share that Teri Wilkinson, MSN, BSN, RN, CEN, has received the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.

Wilkinson, Beebe’s Director for Emergency Services, was nominated by a fellow nurse who shared how Wilkinson inspires the team at Beebe.

“Having a leader that exhibits gratitude, kindness, compassion, authenticity, empathy, and inspiration keeps those employees coming back day after day, striving to make a difference in what we do,” the nominator wrote.

Wilkinson received the award in front of her peers during the annual nursing banquet celebration.

Different than the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, the DAISY Nurse Leader Award was created to shine a light on those who do not typically have direct patient care as part of their work and those who create an environment where compassionate, skillful care thrives.

The DAISY Foundation was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at the age of 33 in 1999 from complications of an autoimmune disease called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The care Patrick and his family received from nurses while he was ill inspired a new way of thanking nurses for making a profound difference in the lives of their patients and their families.

Patients, families, and staff are encouraged to nominate nurses who demonstrate extraordinary care and service in their day-to-day work for DAISY Awards. To nominate a Beebe nurse for the DAISY Award, please visit
