Beebe Healthcare will be at the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, March 21, to offer health screenings and two wellness presentations.
Beebe’s Community Outreach team will offer free blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol screenings for attendees at the VIA, which is located at 415 North Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach. The event is free and open to the public.
Tom Trobiano DNP, APRN, FNP-C, MAPC, Executive Director, Cardiovascular, Neuroscience, & Clinical Operations, will present on stroke awareness and the resources that Beebe provides right here in Sussex County.
Beebe’s Cardiovascular and Neurological services have been growing to serve the needs of Sussex County. In recent years, Beebe updated its Cath Lab, Cardiac Stress Lab, and added a Hybrid Operating Room at the Margaret H. Rollins Lewes Campus. The healthcare system has also invested in innovative technology like TAVR, SENTINEL, TCAR, and Watchman to provide both the latest and most minimally invasive procedure for the community.
The second presentation will be by Sharon Mack, a health coach at Beebe. Her presentation, “Back to the Basics of Health Eating” will be a reminder of simple tips and tricks to optimize healthy eating habits.
The VIA is a generous partner with Beebe, providing scholarship funds for nursing students as well as free community events. Members of the VIA provide numerous volunteer hours for fundraising events to support charitable and civic work in the greater Rehoboth Beach area.
