Crash near Milford now has claimed three lives

A Virginia couple died at the scene of the June 26 crash, and the Harrington driver of the second vehicle died July 1 from his injuries.

MILFORD — A two-vehicle crash near Milford has now claimed three lives, Delaware State Police said.

Police said the crash occurred June 26, 2026. With assistance from the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, the two people who died in the Nissan Rogue have been identified as Mark Yancey, 60, and Jana Yancey, 62, a husband and wife from Yorktown, Virginia.

Police also said Eric Lynch, 36, of Harrington, the driver of the Ford Mustang involved in the crash, died July 1 from injuries he sustained.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the crash.

Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has video of the incident to contact Master Cpl. J. Lane at 302-698-8457.
