A Dover church is inviting the public to a free community event focused on overall wellness, with a range of resources and activities planned for later this month.
Crossroad Christian Church will host a Community Health Fair on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Destiny Center, 4925 N. Dupont Highway. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
Organizers say this year’s theme, “Mind, Body, Spirit, and Finances,” is aimed at promoting a well-rounded approach to health. The event is expected to include health care vendors, mental health professionals and onsite health screenings for attendees.
Additional activities will include line dancing, breakout sessions and raffles, along with light refreshments.
The event will also feature dedicated youth sessions focused on grooming, hygiene, personal development and overall wellness. Organizers say the sessions are designed to help young people build confidence and learn practical life skills through interactive activities and presentations.
“Our goal is to create an environment where every person—young or old—can discover tools that support a healthier, more balanced life. We want the community to walk away feeling encouraged, informed, and motivated to invest in their well-being.”
The Community Health Fair is free and open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend. More information is available by contacting outreach@crossroadlife.com or visiting the church’s website.
