The Delaware Lottery is recognizing Problem Gambling Awareness Month this March, joining national efforts to raise awareness about gambling-related risks and promote responsible play.

Observed annually, Problem Gambling Awareness Month is a nationwide campaign focused on increasing public understanding of problem gambling and connecting individuals with prevention, treatment, and recovery resources. The 2026 campaign continues to emphasize education and access to support services.

Throughout March, the Delaware Lottery is sharing responsible gaming messages and educational materials aimed at helping players set limits, recognize warning signs, and seek assistance if needed. Outreach efforts include social media campaigns and public awareness initiatives using the hashtag #PGAM2026.

“When we approach responsible gaming with compassion, understanding, and proactive solutions, we can make a real difference in preventing gambling-related harm,” said Helene Keeley, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “The Delaware Lottery is proud to support Problem Gambling Awareness Month and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring our games are enjoyed responsibly, while making sure players know where to turn for information and support when they need it.”

Players can access responsible gaming resources, including tips for safe play and information on identifying problem gambling, through the Delaware Lottery website.

The Lottery is also highlighting national and local support services available to individuals and families affected by problem gambling. The National Problem Gambling Helpline provides free, confidential assistance 24/7 via phone, text, and online chat, while Delaware-specific resources are available through the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems.

Officials encourage anyone experiencing issues related to gambling to seek help through these services.
