Seafood lovers will have a chance to sample local favorites while supporting community causes when the Delaware Seafood Festival returns to Schellville on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Schellville, 36470 Seaside Outlet Drive, Rehoboth Beach.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of seafood, including steamed crabs, crab cakes, shrimp, oysters and lobster, along with live music from local performers throughout the day.

In addition to seafood vendors, the event will feature craft vendors, beer tents, food trucks, a kids zone, raffles and a crab pretzel competition.

Festival proceeds will benefit the Stevenson Foundation, which provides funding for local small businesses and scholarships for students pursuing careers in the culinary industry, as well as the Center for the Inland Bays.

The family-friendly event is open to the public and is expected to draw visitors from across Delaware and the surrounding region for a day of food, entertainment and community activities.
