DETV, Delaware’s premier television network, proudly announces its outstanding achievement in the 2024 National Communications Contest sponsored by the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW). The network clinched three national awards across various categories, showcasing its commitment to excellence in broadcasting.
The awards were announced during the NFPW Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, on June 22. The awards celebrated the exceptional work of more than 250 professional communicators from across the United States.
DETV secured the following accolades:
– 1st Place in the Best Newscast (Television) category for “DETV News”
– 1st Place in the Interview (Television) category for “DETV Special: Aunt Mary Pat DiSabatino – The Exit Interview”
– 2nd Place in the Talk Show (Television) category for “DETV’s Good Morning Wilmington”
The 2024 NFPW National Communications Contest attracted nearly 1,850 entries. Entries first competed in state-level contests, with first-place winners advancing to the national competition. This year’s submissions came from over 35 states, Washington D.C., and Canada.
“The NFPW professional communications contest puts a spotlight on outstanding entries from throughout the United States,” said Helen S. Plotkin, NFPW professional contest director. “Our judges continue to comment about the high quality of entries they judge in the contest. The entries showcase high quality and exceptional efforts.”
