The Delaware State Police are investigating a road rage shooting on I-495 near Wilmington.
On April 14, 2024, at approximately 12:28 a.m., troopers responded to a road rage shooting that occurred on I-495 where one man was shot. The preliminary investigation revealed a man was driving southbound on I-495 near the merge at I-95, when an unknown blue car pulled next to him and shot at his car. The interaction between the two drivers before the shooting is under investigation. The victim, a 47-year-old man, was shot in the wrist. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the blue car left the scene.
Currently, there is no suspect information available.
Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is still investigating this shooting. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed or has information regarding this case to contact Detective B.
