Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early this morning at a Wawa in Wilmington.
On August 15, 2023, at approximately 3:15 a.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Wawa located at 400 Wilson Road, Wilmington. The investigation revealed two male suspects entered the store and displayed firearms at employees while demanding money from the safe and cash registers. The victims complied, and the suspects fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspects are described as young black males wearing dark-colored clothing. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.
Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is still investigating this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective R.
