The Delaware Division of Small Business will offer two webinars to assist businesses in applying for the Encouraging Development, Growth and Expansion (EDGE) Program which will reopen on September 1. The program provides grants to five STEM-based companies who could receive up to $100,000 for eligible expenses while five Entrepreneur Class (non-STEM) companies could receive $50,000.

The first webinar is planned for Wednesday, August 30 at 10 AM with Regina Mitchell, Director of the Division of Small Business, along with Andrew Harton, Business Finance Director, Tom Thunstrom of Delaware Small Business Development Center and Kathy Collison of Pink Electric, a recent EDGE Grant awardee. This informational webinar will offer tips on how to strengthen applications.

The second session, SizeUpDelaware Information Session, will be held Wednesday, September 6 at 10 AM. The Division of Small Business and Armando Morales will provide information on how to use SizeUpDelaware in order to propel a business to the next level. It is a free, robust business analytics and insights tool designed to support small and medium-sized businesses in a variety of stages. Beyond supporting current businesses, SizeUpDelaware has the ability to reinforce EDGE Competition applications with data, performance and analytics.

During the SizeUpDelaware Information Session, participants will learn who their competitors are and how their company performs in comparison as well as how to find more customers. In addition, the webinar will provide information on how to identify the best places to locate and advertise a business.
