Nemours Children’s Health today hosted U.S. Senator Tom Carper, D-DE, and Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-DE, to recognize programs that fund critical mental health and nursing roles. These front-line healthcare providers serve children and families throughout the Delaware Valley and work to meet their mental health needs.
The nation is facing a critical shortage of mental health workers. Through an investment of $1.5 million in federal congressionally directed spending, Nemours Children’s Health has trained nine fellows to help meet the needs of kids and teens who might be struggling with their mental health.
