Southern Delaware Brewing Company is planning a new brewpub near Fenwick Island, with an opening targeted for 2027.
Fenwick Island Brewing will be located at Bayside Marketplace, 31225 Americana Parkway, between Selbyville and Fenwick Island. The project is being developed in partnership with the Carl M. Freeman Companies.
The brewpub will be Southern Delaware Brewing’s third location, joining Thompson Island Brewing Company near Rehoboth Beach and Ocean View Brewing Company in Ocean View.
The new restaurant is planned near the Bayside resort community, area golf courses and Freeman Arts Pavilion, as well as the Delaware and Maryland beaches. Plans call for the brewpub to serve lunch, happy hour and dinner, with a menu of craft beer and food.
The Fenwick-area project comes as Southern Delaware Brewing continues to pursue another expansion in Millsboro.
The company has been considering a brewery as an anchor tenant at The Mill Retail Center, a proposed commercial development along Route 113 at the former Veterans of Foreign Wars property. The Millsboro project has faced delays, but plans for that location remain in place as the company moves ahead with the Fenwick-area brewpub.
Southern Delaware Brewing is part of the SoDel hospitality group, which also includes SoDel Concepts, Highwater Management and Surf Bagel.
Construction on Fenwick Island Brewing is underway, with additional details about the restaurant and its opening expected closer to its planned 2027 debut.
