Milford Historical Society has made some changes to their popular Antique’s Market planned for October

The Milford Historical Society has announced that there are changes coming to their fall Antique’s Market this year which is held on the lawn of Parson Thorne Mansion. Normally held the first weekend of October, the new Silver Hill Market Faire will be held on October 12 from 10 AM until 3 PM with artisans offering specialty items for sale.

“We are very excited to update these festivities and bring attention to this historic property,” Ralph Prettyman, President of the Milford Historical Society said. “The Antique’s Market has been a popular event, and this year, we have decided to expand the festivities and add local artisans.”

Vendors will offer unique items for sale, including jewelry, leather goods, handcrafted signs, wooden items, soaps and more.  In addition, Carl’s Gourmet will be on hand serving his famous gourmet hot dogs. Admission to the Market Faire is free, but donations are appreciated as all proceeds go to the maintenance of the Parson Thorne Mansion.

The Market Faire is free to attend but donations are appreciated as any funds collected go to support the maintenance of the Parson Thorne Mansion. The mansion will be open for tours throughout the day. In addition, information will be available about a new Visitor’s Center that is planned on the property as well as information about how to get involved with the society.

Vendor space is limited but there is still room for those who wish to participate. The cost for a vendor table is $30 with setup beginning at 8 AM. Parking is available on site. Vendors will need to bring their own tables, chairs and EZUp.

To become a vendor, contact the Market Faire Coordinator via email.
