Two programs designed to help families deal with loss are planned through Delaware Hospice in June. The first, Walking Through Grief, is planned for June 3 from 10 to 11:30 AM at the Dover Mall.
Walking Through Grief allows those dealing with loss to join others while also enjoying healthy movement. Research shows that nurturing yourself both physically and socially are an excellent way to travel through the journey of grief. Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes. The walk begins and ends at the Food Court. At the end, walkers enjoy fellowship with a light snack (self-pay).
On June 12, Delaware Hospice will hold their monthly topical grief workshops designed for losses of any type. This is a chance for those dealing with loss to connect with others who are going through or have been through similar experiences. The group meets the second Wednesday of each month April through June.
Registration is required for both the Walking Through Grief and monthly workshop. Those interested can do so by calling Robin Murphy, BS, CT at 302-678-4444 or email [email protected].
