MILFORD — Milford-based nonprofit Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI) has named Robert Smith as its new Director of Facilities Management, following the retirement of longtime director Shawn Bowman.
Smith joins KSI with more than a decade of experience in facilities oversight, most recently serving 13 years as Facilities Manager for Goodwill Industries, where he managed 21 properties across Pennsylvania and Delaware.
In his new role, Smith will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing KSI’s Milford Skill Development Center, Georgetown Southern Campus, and Kamp Lenape properties. He will also manage several other properties KSI owns and leases to local businesses, as well as lead renovation projects across the organization’s facilities.
KSI provides vocational training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex counties. The nonprofit emphasizes accessibility and inclusion in all its programs and facilities.
