Lincoln man arrested for 10th DUI

Delaware State Police say that they arrested a Lincoln man on felony driving under the influence of alcohol charges on Friday. According to police, this is his 10th offense.

A trooper on patrol near Greentop Road and Greely Avenue on July 5 at about 9:15 PM saw a black Acura fail to maintain its lane as it was driving west on Greely Avenue. The trooper pulled the car over and reported the driver, Anthony Nesmith, 58, of Lincoln, showed signs of intoxication.

]The trooper administered a sobriety test and took Nesmith into custody. A computer search revealed Nesmith has nine prior DUI-related convictions. Nesmith was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution and held on an $8,000 cash bond. He was charged with driving a vehicle under influence of alcohol, a felony and failing to remain within a single lane.
