Buccaneers improve to 4-0 behind Andrew Sivels’ 178-yard rushing night; Homecoming matchup with Odessa up next

MILFORD — Milford High School remained unbeaten Friday night, defeating Delmar 19-6 behind another strong rushing performance from Andrew Sivels and a defense that held the Wildcats to one touchdown.

The win improved the Buccaneers to 4-0 this season and extended their winning streak to five games dating back to last year.
Sivels rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 11.1 yards per carry, according to MaxPreps.

Milford’s defense did the rest, limiting Delmar to six points and preserving the Buccaneers’ perfect start.
The victory continued a sharp turnaround for a Milford team that finished 3-7 last season.

A Fast Start to 2026

Milford has opened the season with four straight victories:

  • 44-0 over Conrad Science
  • 25-15 over Indian River
  • 35-29 over Woodbridge in overtime
  • 19-6 over Delmar

The Buccaneers have won in several different ways, from a season-opening shutout to an overtime battle against Woodbridge and Friday night’s lower-scoring defensive win over Delmar.

Milford’s five-game winning streak also includes a 45-7 victory over Polytech to close last season.
Sivels has emerged as one of the key pieces in Milford’s early success, and his 178-yard performance against Delmar again gave the Buccaneers a reliable offensive foundation.
