The Rehoboth Art League will kick off its 2026 exhibition season on Jan. 9 with three new shows featuring photography and painting by regional and local artists.

The exhibitions will be on display from Jan. 9 through Feb. 8 across the league’s main galleries. A free public opening reception is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m., giving visitors an opportunity to view the new works and meet participating artists.

The 11th Regional Juried Photography Exhibition will be featured in the Corkran Gallery. The show includes work by artists from Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C., selected from a large pool of submissions. The exhibition highlights a wide range of photographic styles and subjects, including black-and-white and color photography, portraits, landscapes, abstract images, and wildlife scenes.

Also opening Jan. 9 is Nocturne in Blue, a solo exhibition by John Steck Jr., who served as judge and juror for the photography exhibition. Displayed in the Ventures Gallery, the show features cyanotypes created using flowers and plant materials foraged from the surrounding area. Some of the works are long-duration pieces that will remain in process throughout the exhibition’s run, alongside newly completed cyanotypes.

In the Tubbs Gallery, longtime Henlopen Acres artist Frederica Noland will present Recent and Past Paintings. Noland, who has been part of the Rehoboth Beach art community for decades, is known for her vibrant landscapes, abstract compositions, and floral imagery inspired by the local environment.

The Rehoboth Art League’s galleries are open to the public during regular hours, and the opening reception is free to attend.
