Winners of the 2023 Reindeer Stampede

Milford Cross Country Boosters hosted their 25th annual Reindeer Stampede 5k Saturday at Killen’s Pond.  169 participants joined the Holiday fun competing for the infamous wooden Reindeer trophies.  Liam McGinnis of Smyrna was the overall winner with a time of 16:29 for the second year in a row.  Paige Ballinger of Milford won the overall female category in 20:20.

“Profits from the event will benefit the teams with gear, equipment needs, scholarships and more throughout the year,” MHS Coach Lance Skinner said.

The Reindeer Stampede has become a fall holiday tradition for many, Skinner explained. It began as a way for the Booster Club to raise funds in a way that focused on running.

“Thank you to all who attended and the sponsors of this years event,” Skinner said. “Congratulations to all the winners as well.”
