Downtown Milford will be the site of the First Annual Santa Crawl on December 14

Over the past few years, several downtown businesses have heard from customers that they would like to have a bar crawl during the holiday season, much like the St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl sponsored by Downtown Milford Inc. (DMI) each year. This year, the public will get their wish with the First Annual Santa Crawl, planned for Saturday, December 14 from 5 to 9 PM.

Participants are encouraged to wear Santa-themed outfits and, although those are not required, are necessary to get discounts in certain establishments. Eight bars and restaurants downtown are offering a special drink. That night at a reduced price for those dressed like Santa.

Milford Tavern will offer the Christmas Cookie Shot while WTF Meadery will offer Walk the Plank as a special. The Mexican Street Corn Margarita is featured at LaHacienda and the Grinch Shot at Park Place. Arena’s will offer the Yippee Ki Yay and Bibi’s the Tipsy Rudolph. Two drinks, the Gingerbread Martini and the Holiday Manhattan are the specials at fondue. The Cured Plate has taken the event to another level.

“Come down on December 14 and crawl to the participating restaurants, lounge and bars!” a recent Facebook post read on their page. “We’ve decided to use this opportunity to spread even more holiday cheer to those in need. Bring three non-perishables which will be donated to the Milford Church of God and receive a $6 Rowdy Rudolph shot. Bring a new, unwrapped kids toy which will be donated to a local adoption agency and receive a $4 Bad Santa shot.”

There is no cost to participate in the event other than food and drink purchases.
