The Delaware State Police have arrested 56-year-old Christopher Waller of Blades, Delaware for felony DUI and resisting arrest following a pursuit that occurred in Seaford Tuesday evening.

On July 11, 2023, at approximately 8:05 p.m., a trooper on patrol observed a black Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Concord Road in the area of Sussex Highway. The trooper recognized the driver of the truck as Christopher Waller, and confirmed through a computer check that he has a suspended driver’s license. Waller disregarded the trooper’s attempts to stop the truck and continued driving to his residence on the 100 block of East 2nd Street. After Waller stopped the truck in his yard, he complied with the trooper’s commands and was taken into custody.

The trooper observed Waller behaving in an erratic manner and detected signs of impairment. A computer check showed he has three prior convictions for a DUI. Waller was taken to Troop 5 and charged with the following offenses:

  • 4th Offense DUI (Felony)
  • Disregarding a Police Officer Signal (Felony)
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Driving While Suspended
  • Failure to Have Insurance in Possession

Waller was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $9,020 cash bond.
