State Police Detectives Arrest Lincoln Man for Georgetown Burglary

The Delaware State Police arrested 32-year-old Frank Montgomery of Lincoln, Delaware for a burglary and theft in Georgetown last month.

On April 9, 2024, troopers were called to a home in the 26000 block of Lewes-Georgetown Highway in Georgetown for a burglary. When troopers arrived, they found someone had entered a storage container on the property sometime in late March. Once inside, the suspect took a 4-wheeler, a mini-bike plus numerous power tools. On April 18, 2024, detectives learned of a theft in the 25000 block of Prettyman Road in Georgetown, where lawn and garden equipment were stolen from a 66-year-old woman. The investigation led detectives to Frank Montgomery as the suspect in both incidents, and warrants were obtained for his arrest.

On April 22, 2024, Montgomery was arrested and taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on his own recognizance.

 

  • Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony)
  • Theft over $1,500 (Felony)
  • Theft under $1,500 where the Victim is over 62 (Felony)
  • Theft under $1,500
  • Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree
