The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery of a delivery truck that occurred yesterday evening in Wilmington.

On April 21, 2023, at approximately 8:15 p.m., troopers responded to the Wawa located at 2030 Limestone Road for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Troopers arrived and learned that a tractor trailer had been parked next to the store while a 58-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were unloading and delivering products for Wawa. Two suspects walked into the trailer, and one of the suspects removed a handgun from his waistband. The two suspects then stole numerous boxes of cigarettes from inside of the trailer and fled from the area in an unknown direction. Neither victim was harmed in the robbery.

Both suspects were described as black males in their early 20’s, approximately 5’10” to 6’00” tall with thin builds. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.
