Sussex Technical High School has expanded its health sciences program with the addition of an Anatomage Table, a digital anatomy platform designed to give students hands-on experience studying the human body.
The table, recently added to the school’s Health Services Technologies program, features digitized human cadavers and interactive 3D anatomy models that allow students to explore body systems, organs, tissues, and vascular structures. Students can also examine annotated anatomical features and realistic tissue simulations as part of their coursework.
The technology will be used by students enrolled in Sussex Tech’s Health Services career and technical education (CTE) programs, helping them build anatomy and physiology knowledge while preparing for college and careers in healthcare.
“I am very excited to incorporate the Anatomage Table into my Physical Therapy-Athletic Healthcare Technology curriculum across all grade levels to enhance the students’ opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology in a fun interactive manner. Students are already using the table and becoming familiar with the numerous components and learning at the same time,” said Carolyn Maull, Physical Therapy and Athletic Healthcare Technologies Teacher.
The Anatomage Table is widely used in medical and health professions education, offering a digital alternative to traditional cadaver-based instruction while allowing students to visualize complex anatomical structures through interactive technology.
Sussex Technical High School serves students throughout Sussex County through its vocational-technical education programs, preparing graduates for careers, higher education, and military service.
