Newport – The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the closure of South James Street between East Water Street and the Old Airport Road Ramps to SR 141 from 6 am to 6 pm on Saturday, July 29 for work related to the reconstruction of the bridge over the Christina River.

Detours:

Southbound motorists on South James Street – ; turn left onto Market Street, and then immediate right onto the ramp to SR 141 southbound.

Northbound motorists on South James Street – ; turn right onto the ramp to SR 141 southbound, then turn right onto the ramp towards I-295 northbound, then immediately turn right onto the next ramp towards SR 141 northbound, then exit towards the right towards SR 4, then turn left onto Justis Street to return to James Street.
