The Delaware State Police arrested 35-year-old Reginald Lloyd, of Wilmington, Delaware, after he was found with a stolen Nissan on Wednesday afternoon in Claymont.
On November 29, 2023, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a trooper on patrol responded to the area of Naamans Road and Ridge Road in Claymont for a report of a stolen Nissan Altima traveling through the area. The trooper located the unoccupied white 2017 Nissan with New Jersey registration in a parking lot on the 300 block of Ridge Road. The trooper observed a man exit a store and return to the car. The man, identified as Reginald Lloyd, was taken into custody without incident. A computer inquiry of the Nissan’s registration confirmed it was reported as stolen within the jurisdiction of Mantua Police Department (New Jersey).
Lloyd was taken to Troop 1, where he was charged with the following crimes:
- Receiving Stolen Property (Felony)
Lloyd was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released after posting bail on a $2,000 secured bond.
