Delaware State Police arrested 38-year-old Jeremiah Handy, of Frankford, Delaware, for murder and other related charges following a death investigation that occurred in Frankford last Friday.
On November 24, 2023, at approximately 1:10 a.m., troopers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of a residence on the 30200 block of Frankford School Road in Frankford. Upon arriving, troopers discovered that 22-year-old Gabriel Dorman and a 20-year-old man were riding a Honda four-wheeler on Frankford School Road when it was struck by a Mercedes-Benz SUV. As a result, the two men were thrown from the four-wheeler and came to rest in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Dorman was pronounced dead at the scene. The 20-year-old victim remains admitted at an area hospital for injuries sustained from the crash.
In the ensuing investigation, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit determined the initial report of shots fired at the residence was unfounded and identified Jeremiah Handy as the suspect and sole occupant of the SUV. Subsequently, detectives obtained warrants for Handy’s arrest.
