Staff WriterDelaware State Trooper, Police & Fire, RSS

The Delaware State Police have identified 18-year-old Zamer Williams of Camden, New Jersey, as one of the suspects who was involved in multiple armed robberies that occurred in New Castle County last Friday. Williams was taken into custody in New Jersey earlier this week.

Between 12:30 p.m. and 1:49 p.m., on November 10, 2023, troopers responded to three separate bank locations in New Castle County for armed robberies.  During the investigation, troopers learned the suspects approached their victims in the parking lot of each bank while pointing a handgun at them as they demanded money and personal property. The suspects fled from each location in a stolen silver Honda Accord, which was found abandoned and unoccupied by the Philadelphia Police Department last Friday night. The suspects are described as approximately 4-5 black males wearing dark clothing and masks. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Detectives have reason to believe the suspects have connections in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Troop 2 Robbery Detectives in collaboration with out-of-state law enforcement agencies developed Zamer Williams as one of the suspects involved in the robberies. On November 14, 2023, Williams was located and arrested in New Jersey, where he is now incarcerated. Upon extradition to Delaware, Williams will be charged with 2 counts of Robbery First Degree, 2 counts of Attempted Robbery First Degree, 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, 3 counts of Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony, and 3 counts of Conspiracy Second Degree.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is actively investigating this incident and working to identify other suspects involved in this case. Detectives urge the public to be aware of their surroundings and are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective D. Patterson by calling 302-365-8471.
