Vanderwende Ice Cream will soon take over the former North Pole Creamery location in downtown Milford, according to an announcement shared Wednesday by State Rep. Bryan Shupe on his Facebook page.
The Sussex County-based ice cream company is expected to officially take over the shop at 10 S. Walnut St. on July 31.
In his post, Shupe thanked longtime North Pole Creamery owners Marcia and Dave for their years of service to the Milford community.
“Your ice cream, friendly smiles, and dedication have made 10 South Walnut Street a special place for so many in our community,” the post said.
The announcement also welcomed Vanderwende Ice Cream to downtown Milford as the business prepares to begin operating at the Walnut Street location.
North Pole Creamery has long been a popular stop in downtown Milford, and the transition marks a new chapter for the storefront as Vanderwende expands its presence in Sussex County.
