Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Sean Brownawell, 35, of Dover, following an incident that began with Probation and Parole Monday afternoon. The incident started at 2:24 p.m., when Dover Police Officers were called to the area of North Bradford Street and West Division Street to assist Probation and Parole in apprehending Brownawell. Brownawell was currently wanted for violating his Probation and had a warrant for his arrest from the Delaware State Police. When contacted, Brownawell ran away from Probation Officers. Dover Police arrived on scene and assisted Probation and Parole in taking him into custody. During the incident, Brownawell sustained injuries and was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus where he was treated and released. Brownawell was transported to Dover Police where he was processed and arraigned.
Brownawell was committed to SCI on a Violation of Probation charge and released on his own recognizance on the following charges:
-Resisting Arrest with Force
-Offensive Touching (3x)
