Here’s a roundup of Delaware dual wrestling matches from Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Caesar Rodney 54 – St. Mark’s 15

The Caesar Rodney Riders used five pins and scored bonus points in seven matches in their season-opening win over St. Mark’s 54-15.

Ben Donato (106), Sean Dixon (138), Trevor Copes (144), Kenneth King (157), and Tristan Cooper (285) all had pins for the Riders. J.J. Spence (150) won with an 18-1 technical fall.

Aaron Menickella (132) and Jacob Ebaugh (165) had pins for the Spartans.

Caesar Rodney improves to 1-0, and St. Mark’s drops to 0-1 on the season.

Both teams will see tournament action this weekend, with Caesar Rodney competing in the Ray Oliver Invitational in Maryland, while St. Mark’s will head to Pennsylvania for the Penn Manor Tournament.

Smyrna 53 – Milford 22

The Smyrna Eagles scored bonus points in eight of the 14 bouts en route to a 53-22 Henlopen North victory over the Milford Buccaneers Wednesday night.

The Eagles got pins from Caeden Price (113), Carson Casey (150), Ithan Medina Caballero (175), and Mason Schulenburg (215). Donald Smith (132) won a 15-0 technical fall.

Milford got pins from Riley Carmean (165) and Greg Lockett (285). Davonne Dallas (144) and Jami White (157) both won by technical fall.

Smyrna is now 1-0, and Milford falls to 0-1 on the season.

Both teams are in tournament action this weekend as Smyrna heads to Maryland for the Ray Oliver Invitational, while the Bucs will host the Milford Invitational on Saturday.

Laurel 42 – Lake Forest 33

The Laurel Bulldogs were led by Nathan Moore (113), Connor Smith (138), Kenyen Littleton (150), Stanley Pete (165) and Cordai Rodriguez (285) who all had pins in their 42-33 Henlopen South victory over the Lake Forest Spartans.

The Spartans got pins from Mason Ferrell (120), Jerusalem Howard (144), Ian Nance (157), Coen Dempsey (175), and Chase Lewis (215).

Laurel is now 1-0, and Lake Forest is 0-1.

Both teams will compete in the Delmar Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Conrad 44 – First State Military 35

Conrad rode four pins and a pair of forfeits in their 44-35 victory over First State Military on Wednesday night.

Joseph Finnegan (106), Troy Orea-Cipres (150), Gerald Mubaira (190), and John Bittmann (285) all had pins for Conrad. Roman Zielinski (144) won a 22-7 technical fall.

First State Military got pins from Aiden Cykosky (132), Ryan Allen (157), Jeyson Ramos (165), Joshua Jalloh (175) and Frank Aikens (215).

Conrad is now 1-0, while First State Military drops to 1-1.

Both teams will compete in the Milford Invitational on Saturday.

Cape Henlopen 44 – Sussex Tech 31

In their Henlopen North opener, the Cape Henlopen Vikings won a seesaw battle, 44-31, over the Sussex Tech Ravens Wednesday night.

The Vikings got pins from Blake Walker (113), Colin Poulis (144), Nick Walker (150), Jacob Goodsell (175), Luke Arnold-Decyk (215) and Patrick Donahue (285). Austin Guerrieri (120) won a 15-0 technical fall.

The Ravens got pins from Logan King (132), and Dustin Elliott (157) while Anthony Andrews (126), Bennett Brumbley (165) and Parker Hampton (106) all won by technical fall.

Cape Henlopen is now 1-0, and Sussex Tech drops to 1-1.

Sussex Tech will compete in the Delmar Invitational this weekend. Cape Henlopen will take it to the mat next Wednesday when they host Milford.

Polytech 59 – Dover 21

The Polytech Panthers won five bouts by pin and received four forfeits in their 59-21 Henlopen North win over the Dover Senators.

Jase Diaz (113), Evan Rosenwold (126), Marvens Bernavil (138), Diovanni Stock (157), and Carter Dulin had pins for the Panthers. Daniel Nelson (132) won a 17-2 technical fall.

Isabella Thompkins (120), Dayton Rogers (165), and Evan Russum (215) all had pins for the Senators.

Polytech is now 1-0, and Dover is 0-1. Both teams will compete in the Milford Invitational on Saturday.

Odessa 45 – Newark 26

The Odessa Ducks combined four pins and three forfeits en route to their 45-26 Blue Hen Conference victory over the Newark Yellowjackets on Wednesday night.

Conor Deck (150), Keith Schmid (157), Nasir Williams (215), and Jake Macolley (285) all got pins for the Ducks.

Kayl McFetridge (120), Christian Zavala (138), and Davian Hampton (165) had pins for the Yellowjackets.

Odessa is now 1-0, while Newark drops to 0-2 on the season. Both teams will compete in the Milford Invitational on Saturday.
