YMCA of Delaware Announces Staff Promotions

The YMCA of Delaware is pleased to announce three staff promotions across the association. Katrina Gott has been named the new Community Executive Director of the Dover YMCA. Anesha Law has been promoted to Community Executive Director of the Walnut Street YMCA, and Dr. Jimia Redden is now the Community Executive Director of Housing at the Central YMCA branch.

Katrina Gott, a lifelong Dover resident, has served in a variety of positions including marketing, membership, and operations in her six years with the Y. Regardless of her role, Katrina has successfully driven membership and program participation while also spreading awareness of the Y mission, ensuring everyone has access to important Y services like childcare, swim lessons, summer camp and more. Katrina is looking forward to expanding programming for children and families, and helping everyone reach their full potential in their health and wellness journey.

Anesha Law is a servant leader at heart. Anesha started her career in Atlanta with a variety of child services organizations including the local Boys & Girls Club. Since coming to the Walnut Street YMCA, Anesha’s high energy and dedication allows her to “reach & teach” young people in a fun, innovative and enriching way which continues to empower youth in the Wilmington community. Anesha was nominated as one of Delaware’s Top 40 under 40 in 2021. In her new role, Anesha looks forward to ensuring youth achieve their purpose, communities grow stronger, and families thrive.

With more than 20 years of experience in the Social Services field, Dr. Jimia K. Redden began her career in the Delaware’s Children Department – Child Mental Health Division. In 2005, she became one of the lead social workers at a local psychiatric hospital and was later offered an opportunity to work for the YMCA of Delaware, in partnership with New Castle Family Court, to develop a juvenile mental health diversion program. Most recently, Dr. Redden served as the Director of Housing at the Central YMCA where she managed the 180-unit transitional housing program for single men who were homeless or at-risk of being homeless. In her new Community Executive Director role, Dr. Redden oversees day-to-day operations and community engagement for the housing program.
