MHS Marching Band earned a silver ranking at a recent band competition

On Saturday, the Milford High School Marching Buccaneers competed in the Delaware State Marching Band Championship  hosted at Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, DE. The championship was a Tournament of Bands competition. Tournament of Bands contests are held throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region in nine different states. Saturday’s competition saw competitors from Region 9 which is made up of Delaware and portions of Maryland.

Our own Milford High School Marching Buccaneers entered in the festival class. This provides the opportunity for feedback from judges and a stage to perform the 2023 show, “Be Afraid”. Our band members showed no fear in performing the field routine: marching, playing and even dancing to share all that they had learned. They earned a silver ranking which is great for our first competitive year in some time.

The Milford High School Marching Buccaneers will be attending the University of Delaware Band Day this upcoming weekend. You can check out their show, “Be Afraid” throughout the upcoming football season! The band would like to thank the community for all the support that they have been given over this season.
