The Delaware State Police have arrested Coles Khayree, 36, of Dover in Delaware for charges of unlawful imprisonment stemming from a Walmart incident last week.
On the 30th of June 2025 at 7:35 pm, troopers were dispatched to Walmart located at 36 Jerome Drive in Dover for a disturbance report. Kevin Caple and Coles Khyree were identified by troopers as the two male suspects who arrived in a RAM truck at Walmart and approached a Chevrolet Silverado that was parked in Walmart’s fire lane. Caple demanded that the teenager who was in the Silverado move the SUV or else he would tow it. The teenager refused to comply and said she would call her mother, who was also in the store. Khayree then began to load the SUV onto RAM’s towing device, lifting the rear several feet above the ground. This scared the two children inside the SUV. The SUV driver arrived and a heated argument followed until the troopers arrived.
Khayree surrendered himself to Troop 9 on July 8, 2025. He was charged with the following crimes, tried by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released under his own recognizance.
- Unlawful imprisonment 1 st degree (Felony), 2 counts
- Conspiracy 2 nd (Felony Degree)
